Here are my daily technical stock screens of 9000 issues on the NYSE and Nadsacs that I use to pick stocks for my ready list for my personal trading, and also for my weekly swing trade chart picks for Technical Trader subscribers.
After running the screen for short term buy and sell signals on stocks that have been trading more than 1 million shares per day and are trading above $6 I visually review the charts. From that review, I make my picks.
There are usually between 2 and 8 good looking setups every day. The numbers are bigger around intermediate term turning points.
Today’s screen had 15 buys and 58 sells. Two of the buys were inverse ETFs, so those are bearish signals. Therefore, just 13 of the 73 signals were bullish. 60 were bearish.
First thing of note is that this is a big increase in the total number of signals, essentially double the number in recent days. At the same time the proportion of bearish signals is holding firm. This suggests the decline is about to broaden and accelerate.
Here’s the raw data. These are not recommendations. If you’re interested, take a look at these in your own charts. I report. You decide. 😀

Here’s an example of one of my charts. It’s just alphabetically first, not a recommendation.
It is one of the few bullish signals. It has triggered the first of the 4 sequential short term buy signals that the screens look for. It actually does look like a decent setup for a little base from which to subsequently move higher.
To me, these screen output items are all just letters representing a different type of gambling token. These tokens represent stories. I have no idea what the story is behind most of them.
But stories matter to Wall Street and to most investors. And they definitely matter to the media. Without stories to tell, the financial media would not exist. Their clients, the companies issuing the tokens, need the stories to market their tokens to customers, both institutional and individual.
So I looked up the symbol. It stands for Apache, which I guess is in the Native American real estate, development, and relocation business. So I get why this might be a bullish story. It’s an inflation play. You can buy Native American real estate, enthusiastically and without reservations. The Chief Executive isn’t shy about promotion. He is authentically running bull.
So that’s the story behind that. I know it’s true because I googled it and it had been on CNBC.
If you have any questions about Wall Street stories, I will be happy to research them and report back to you.
