Statista and Forbes worked together to find out which U.S. companies are offering their employees the very best deal. Along with the Best Large Employers involving companies and organizations with 5,000 or more employees, midsize employers were also analyzed. Focusing on companies with 1,000 to 5,000 employees, the Best Midsize Employers 2022 ranking was topped by apparel brand Vera Bradley.
The company headquartered in Indiana sells luggage, handbags and accessories and became known for its colorful style. Two friends founded the company in 1982 – none of them is named Vera Bradley, however, as this is the name of one of the founder’s mother. The company has been involved in charitable and environmental endeavors and ships their products worldwide.
A completely different branch of business, construction and petrochemicals, was most commonly found among the top 10 of America’s Best Midsize Employers in 2022. Three companies, PCL Construction, chemicals and materials producer Celanese and Aera Energy all ranked highly.
PCL Construction – ranked second – is headquartered in Edmonton, Canada, and Denver, Colo., and is an employee-owned company. Data analytics provider Fico rounds off the top 3.
