United States PCE Price Index Annual Change

PCE Price Index Annual Change in the United States increased to 6.10 percent in January from 5.80 percent in December of 2021. PCE Price Index Annual Change in the United States averaged 1.51 percent from 2012 until 2022, reaching an all time high of 6.10 percent in January of 2022 and a record low of -7.10 percent in June of 2013. In the United States, the Personal Consumption Expenditure Price Index provides a measure of the prices paid for domestic purchases of goods and services. While the Consumer Price Index assumes a fixed basket of goods and uses expenditure weights that do not change over time for several years, the Personal Consumption Expenditure Price Index uses a chain index and resorts on expenditure data from the current period and the preceding period (known as Fisher Price Index).
