Going After Monopolies Goes Nowhere

After the close on Friday, it was announced that the Federal Government would be going after Alphabet (AKA Google). Judging from the after-hours reaction, people weren’t exactly panicking.

Liquidity moves markets!

Follow the money. Find the profits! 

As a reminder, about thirty years ago, the Feds went after Microsoft with guns a-blazin’:

That era of the government going after Microsoft didn’t exactly slow them down.

And I daresay it won’t make much of a different with GOOGL either.

Of course, I hope I’m wrong.
