Daily Trades List for Friday, February 2, 2018

The screening algo generated 9 potential longs and 9 potential shorts for Friday. I added no longs and 1 short to the list.  After closed trades there will be 3 longs and 18 shorts on the list.

The following results on open trades assume all cash transactions with no margin used.

The 5 longs remaining on the list as of Thursday were all profitable, with an average profit of 16.4% and an average holding period of 21 calendar days. Two of those hit trailing stops and were closed out on Thursday.

There were 18 shorts on the list. Two of those were closed with losses. 67% of those were profitable with an average profit (including all losing trades) of 2.9% with an average holding period of 11 calendar days.

The average net profit for all open trades (including losing trades) was 5.9%. 74% of open positions were profitable. The average holding period was 13 calendar days.

Here is today’s updated list including new buys, sells, short sales, cover shorts, and updated stops, as well as performance metrics for this month.
