US April Job Cuts Up 11% From A Year Ago
Wall Street Journal US employers planned to cut 40559 jobs in April, an 11% increase from a year ago, according to the latest report from outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas Inc. The April total is also up 7.1% from the 37880 job cuts announced in March.
