I’m really intrigued by the implications of this one. First it was shot down and then, according to the Telegraph it was bought down by “electronic attack”.
Denniger points to this October story in Wired http://www.wired.com…its-drone-fleet and suggests that maybe the drone fleet command infrastructure has been compromised and speculates that the RQ-170 was landed by this means. He further wonders as to the integrity of other defence guidance systems.
If a cyber attack, there’s an ironic twist in this as revenge for the Stuxnet attack of last year, but now it looks like this is going to hand to the Russians and Chinese (at a price) the technology aboard.
