Yes, Virgina, there is a Santa

Ah well. Just had to say this: I own a copy of this old made-for-tv flick titled “Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.” Stars Charles Bronson and Ed Asner and some little kid who is outstanding.

The big studios still refuse to re-release the orginal and it is not easy to get copies. Still, it’s a film that has Bronson in a slightly unusual role which he performs well enough to have earned some kind of award for.

And, apart from proving without a shadow of a doubt that there really IS a Santa Claus, it protrays real journalists and writers and real newspaper editors the way they once were, and now only remain in the dark hidden recesses of Lee’s cranium… Ah, Virginia, those newspapers were never gonna survive, because they gave more than they ever asked for or got (refer HT to get another long long lecture about THAT!)
