Panic food buying in UK empties shelves

…as the reality of global warming climate change hits hard for a second year.

Britain’s workforce faced a nightmare journey home tonight as heavy snow was predicted to cause disruption on an even greater scale than last night.

Police in several counties were urging people to leave work early – with up to eight more inches of snow predicted in London and the South East tonight.

Anyone who doesn’t have to travel is being warned to stay at home as temperatures plummet to -6c.

Surrey Superintendent Chris Moon said: ‘I have put out several severe weather warnings in my career, but this one I really must stress.’
