GOP’s budget ideas leaking out: Gut NIH and college loan funding…

No wonder they’re keeping quiet about this. The GOP has been promising to walk in & cut federal spending by 100 billion, but has kept mum on the details. Turns out no cuts in a the military budget, which is equal to what the rest of the world spends combined. Instead, they’re planning to slash research funding, and low-income college loan support. Outside of WallSt, there are two viable industries left in the US: medical technology and military hardware. Let’s kill the medical technology ‘golden goose’. We need a dumbed-down, heavily-armed population – just like Afghanistan. Brilliant.

Excerpt:

Republicans have said they want to cut $100 billion from the federal budget as early as January. That would amount to 21 percent of the government’s so-called discretionary spending and target programs such as college loans for low-income students or medical research at the National Institutes of Health.
