WSE Pro Publication Note

The Wall Street Examiner Professional Edition Fed Report will not be published today. There were no Treasury auctions. $31 billion in Treasury debt paydowns settled today. The Fed drained off only $2 billion, adding $13 billion in overnight and 14 day repos against $15 billion expiring.

The Treasury announced that it would pay down another $7 billion in the 13 and 26 week bill auctions on Monday. That may be the end of the paydown party. The Treasury will auction $8 billion in 5 year TIPS on Tuesday, then 2 and 5 year notes on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Fed released custodial data for foreign central bank holdings of Treasuries and Agencies after the close today. We’ll have a complete report on all the details, and an analysis of what it means tomorrow’s Fed report. Stay tuned!
