As I prepare the board for the long leg of my journey, San Francisco to Taipei, I thought I’d updated a couple of overnight markets from my brief Phuket post before. The ES opened slightly higher, but it spent hours grinding down. It was getting a little interesting there for a bit, but as I’m typing this, for whatever reason, it has shaved those losses. It’s down just a few points.

Conversely, gold, which had started off weak, has gotten its feet beneath its legs, and it has enjoyed a steady climb. Could the long-suffering gold bugs finally be in for a new bull market?

I’m going to sign off for now as I begin this aerial endurance contest.
